New Beginnings

A new school year is here!

Abby is returning to her Preschool in the 4-year old's Lion Classroom.
She is SOOO excited to be with all of her friends again.
She has grown up so much since last year.
She is particular with what she wears and how her hair is done.
When she wakes up a little tired she says "Oh No! I'm still tired so I guess I'm going to be sassy at school today...".  Good Luck Mrs. Anderer and Mrs. Riccardi!!

George not only started school this year, but he has begun riding the bus to school too!
George is only 2 and hasn't started talking yet, so this has been a scary concept to Mom and Dad,
but he has done WONDERFUL!
He seems to really enjoy it all.
He seems like a new boy already.
He waves bye-bye with both hands to his teacher when Daddy picks him up.
He waved bye-bye and blew us kisses when he drove away on the bus this morning.
We are SO PROUD of our little guy!

Abby is most definitely jealous of her brother getting to ride the bus, but she is willing to capitalize on one-on-one Daddy time instead!
We hope every child is enjoying school as much as Abby and George.

Florida - August 2012

We took a vacation in Florida this year.
Grandma and Grandpa have the best nightly rate, so we made reservations months ago!

We did some sightseeing at Gemini Springs.

 Played at the local parks...

Spent a few nights at the Nickelodeon Resort, courtesy of Grandma and Grandpa,
where we met some of the characters...

Played in the pool at Grandma and Grandpa's house...

Mommy made sure to get some exercise in...

Abby received swim lessons...
Look, no floaties!  She did GREAT!

Abby and George were introduced to the Atlantic Ocean in New Smyrna before Grandpa fed them ice cream for lunch...

We even celebrated Grandma's birthday...

Grandma let the kids stay up late and swim after it became dark outside...
They had a ball!

Now vacation is over :(
We had such a great time!
Sad to leave family so far away, but it does make for a great visit when we do get together.

Enjoying family life,

Star Wars Celebration VI

In case you didn't know,
Tommy is a HUGE fan of the Star Wars empire.
Movies.  Toys.  Statues.  Ornaments.  Books.  Autographs.  Posters.
He loves it ALL.

As a college graduation present, his parents sent the two of us to Denver, CO for the very first
Star Wars Celebration I.
So in case you are asking yourself... YES!  I did know about this before I said "I DO".
Believe it or not. :)

Since then, we've been to all of the Star Wars Celebrations.
Indianapolis hosted II and III.
Los Angeles hosted IV.
And luckily, since we've had kids they have been held in  Orlando,
which gives the kids some Grandma and Grandpa time while their Daddy acts like a big kid at the convention.

The big difference between this show and the previous five is that Abby has recently taken an interest in Star Wars.  She has watched all 6 movies and can name most of the characters.  She knows enough about conventions to know some people dress up (Tommy doesn't dress us, I have a prenup that prevents that ;-)), and she wanted to be DARTH VADER.  So, Mommy went to work and came up with something that was still girlie.  Abby had a ton of fun!

To set the scene... this was Grandma and Grandpa's first Star Wars convention and this is what they saw when they walked in:
I think the may have been overwhelmed!  But there wasn't much time for that because Abby took off running to get pictures with EVERYONE else.  Here are a few of them...

What about George?

And here we are before we went back home to relax and feel normal again...

See you at the next Celebration... if there is one!

May the Force be with You,
