Fun with Dinner Rolls

I love finding easy ways to make cute things. Today I used dinner rolls to make a flower. Perfect for Easter Dinner!

I think it turned out pretty good for the first try, but next time I will try to make the stem longer or just remove it all together.

How did I do it?

Start with some store bought dough.

I bought the frozen dough and arranged them on my greased pan like this:

I covered them with plastic wrap sprayed with Pam and let them start to rise. I came back about two hours later and the dough was soft. I rolled the petals in an oval shape and the stem to look like a breadstick and recovered.

Then you just let it rise for a few more hours until it looks like this:

Pop it in the oven and bake according to the directions on the package.

Viola!

I'd like to try it with cinnamon raisen bread and decorate with icing...
Yum!
